The dramatic four-sided, the mountain rises 22 kilometers south-east of Mount Everest.Makalu has two notable subsidiary peaks.A strong American team called the California Himalayan Expedition to Makalu, attempted the mountain in the spring of 1954. Its name represents spiritual destiny.

Lhotse is located on the border of Tibet and Nepal. Lhotse has three summits: Lhotse Middle or East 8413m, Lhotse Shar 8383m, and Lhotse Main 8516m. Lhotse’s long east-west crest is located immediately south of Mount Everest, and the summits of the two mountains are connected by the South Col, a vertical ridge that never drops below 8,000m. Lhotse first climbed in 1956 as an alternative route towards the summit of Everest. Sometimes, it considers as part of the Everest because Lhotse lies just south of Mount Everest. Lhotse was first climbed in 1956 by Ernst Reiss and Fritz Luchsinger.

It is the easternmost 8,000-meter peak. Kangchenjunga is the highest mountain in the world and it lies about 75 miles east-southeast of Mount Everest. The mountain is part of the Great Himalaya Range. The mountain is in the Kangchenjunga Himal, a high mountainous region bounded on the west by the Tamur River and on the east by the Teesta River. The name Kanchenjunga is derived from Tibetan word. The first climb on Kangchenjunga was by Joseph Dalton Hooker Between April 1848 and February 1849.

 

2. K2-Godwin Austen, Pakistan-China (8611 Meters)

K2 is also known as Mount Godwin-Austen or Chhogori. It is the second highest mountain in the world. The mountain rises from its base at about 4,570 meters on the Godwin Austen Glacier. The mountain was first surveyed by a European survey team in 1856. K2 is located in the Karakoram Range and lies partly in a Chinese-administered enclave of the Kashmir. It has given the symbol K2 because it has the second peak measured in the Karakoram Range. It remained a fascination, because of the difficulty of its climbing and the numerous deaths that occurred.
